Alice in Wonderland-1905
Alice in Wonderland is a (1903) British silent film directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow. It is the first movie adaptation of Lewis Carroll's children's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
The film is memorable for its use of special effects, including Alice's shrinking in the Hall of Many Doors, and in her large size, stuck inside of White Rabbit's home, reaching for help through a window.
Only one copy of the original film is known to exist and parts are now lost. The British Film Institute has partially restored the movie and its original film tinting on February 24, 2010. It is now available from several sources, and is included as a bonus feature on a 1996 BBC DVD.

Alice in Wonderland - 1933
Alice in Wonderland is a 1933 ensemble film produced by Paramount Pictures. It is mostly live-action, except for The Walrus and The Carpenter, which was animated by Leon Schlesinger Productions.
Stars featured in the film included Charlotte Henry as Alice, W. C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty, Edna May Oliver as the Red Queen, Cary Grant as the Mock Turtle, Gary Cooper as the White Knight, Edward Everett Horton as The Mad Hatter, Charles Ruggles as The March Hare, and Baby LeRoy as The Joker.
This version was directed by Norman Z. McLeod from a screenplay by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, based on Lewis Carroll's books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. It also drew heavily from Eva LeGallienne and Florida Friebus's then-recent stage adaptation.
This film is occasionally broadcast on cable television channels such as Turner Classic Movies. The original running time was 90 min., but when EMKA bought the television rights in the late-1950s, it was cut to 77 minutes. Universal released this film on DVD March 2, 2010, in the cut version.

Alice in Wonderland-1982
An 1982 recording of a theatrical production by the Children's Theatre Company. The protagonist was young Annie Enneking. While a quality production it suffers somewhat from the raised voices of the actors, needed to reach a large live audience but hardly tolerated on film.

Alice in Wonderland-2010
In the film, Alice is now nineteen years old and accidentally returns to Underland (misheard by Alice and believed to be called Wonderland), a place she visited thirteen years previously. She is told that she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwocky, a dragon-like creature controlled by the Red Queen who terrorizes Underland's inhabitants. Burton said the original Wonderland story was always about a girl wandering around from one weird character to another and he never felt a connection emotionally, so he wanted to make it feel more like a story than a series of events. He does not see this as a sequel to previous films, nor as a re-imagining.
